Terms and Conditions: St Mark’s Art Exhibition 2025
- Entry for exhibits is free. It is open to all artists in Portobello and Musselburgh.
- It is the exhibitor’s responsibility to insure their work outside their own home. Although all due care will be taken, St Mark’s cannot accept any responsibility for any damage or loss.
- Paintings, artistic photography, wood turning, silver craft, glasswork, ceramics, patchwork and much more can be offered for sale or display.
- All items for display must be suitably framed and strung ready for display. Those not presented suitably cannot be displayed.
- Art work must be ready with a string to attach to a hook.
- Clip frames will not be accepted.
- If in doubt, please ask. (very light art work could be attached with sticky Velcro pads)
- Only pottery, silver jewellery, sculpture or glassware can be accepted for table display (pictures / photographs will not be displayed on table tops). If in doubt, please ask
- The final date for notification of entry and details of exhibits is Sunday 31 August 2025 at 5pm. It greatly helps with planning and advertising to know what is being exhibited as early as possible. If emailing, please specify title, artist, medium, price / NFS. Forms should be delivered with the exhibits.
- Delivery date for exhibits is Wednesday 10 September 2025 before 5pm (not between 1:45-2:30pm) to enable planning and cataloguing. The enclosed form must be completed and presented with the exhibits when delivered to church.
- Collection of exhibits is Monday 15 September 9:30am-5pm, Wednesday 17 September 3-5pm or Thursday 18th September 10am-12pm. Alternative arrangements may be possible in special circumstances and by prior arrangement. Any items which are unclaimed (unless agreed beforehand) by 30 September will be disposed of as the church sees fit.
- 25% of all sales will be retained by St Mark’s. The difference will be paid to you after completion of financial records for the show.
- The curation of the exhibition is solely the reserve of St Marks. We reserve the right not to display any item that is not presented suitably, or if it is inappropriate, if there is insufficient space or in the interests of balance. We will attempt to display at least one item from each artist, multiple items will be at our discretion.
- Homemade Greetings Cards can be sold, with the same commission.
